He lived and attended schools in Benkelman until 1931. He drove trucks as a young man, and worked as a bus driver for Continental Trailways for 27 years. He recently retired and moved to Newcastle.
Survivors include three sons, Bob of Newcastle, Ronnie of Casper, and Duane of Oak Harbor, WA; one daughter, Sharon Roberson, Cheyenne; two sisters, Vada Carey, Union Gap, WA, and Ruby Pinkerton, Benkelman; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Services will be Monday at McColley Funeral Home Chapel in Newcastle, with Bryan Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
