I'd like to submit a change for the memorial page of my 2x Great Grandfather, John William Alden.
Lucy J Alden is listed as his wife, presumably because her name was on his tombstone.
She is, however, his unmarried sister, who lived with him after his divorce, and until her death.
His actual wife was my 2x Great Grandmother, Margaret E Studley. Together they had 3 daughters,
including my great grandmother, Margaret Ransy (Schuyler) Alden.
(Note: Because her parents divorced when she was young, she often assumed the name of her step father,
John William Schuyler, and many documents list her this way.)
