Adrain Bruce obituary - 2002

Adrain Bruce, 82 of Madisonville and formerly of Providence and Terre Haute, Indiana, died Friday, May 10 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hanson, a 50 year member of Providence Lodge #148, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Rizpah Shrine.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served in the South Pacific. He was also a former member and deacon of the General Baptist Church in Providence.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Johnson Bruce.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann (Kellogg) of Madisonville; one son, Larry Bruce, Zionsville, Indiana; five daughters, Sandra McDaniel, Portage, Indiana, Janet Carpenter, Galien, Michigan, Judy Reitz, Buchanan, Michigan, Joan Sheaer, Owensboro and Joyce Davis, St. Joseph, Mt.; 14 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren and one brother, Carl Bruce, Evansville, Indiana.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 11:00 from the General Baptist Church in Providence with Rev. Barry Cullen and Rev. Steve Proctor officiating.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.
Pallbearers were David Bruce, Steven Bruce, Bruce Scott, Bill Hillyer, Mike Schellhase and Wayne Vaught.
Melton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. **
