Stephanie Jo Ferguson(February 21, 1953-August 1, 2004)Stephanie was born in Longview, Washington and graduated from Mark Morris High School in 1971.
She loved animals and opened up her 10 acre home and heart to miniature horses, donkeys, mules, as well as numerous cats, and most recently a family of stray, hungry raccoons.
She was co-owner of Ferguson's Restaurant, which was donated in 1994 to Longview Community College.
She had a big heart and loved people.
She could strike up a conversation with anyone about anything.
She loved music and going to concerts.
The Beatles were one of her favorite bands.
She loved to shop.
She had an amazing shoe collection.
She was very talented in arts and crafts.
She loved making beaded necklaces for everyone and teaching others to appreciate this as well.
She also made her own cards with her large rubber stamp collection and made the most beautiful wrapping paper at Christmas time.She is preceded in death by her husband, Wally Christian; her father, Jack Ferguson, and her step-father, Phillip Wertheimer.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Damien & Tina Christian; her mother, Jeanne Wertheimer; her brother and sister-in-law, Grant & Karen Ferguson; sister, Penni Richards; her nephew, Eric Richards; her niece, Wendy Doehne; and many cousins. There will be no services planned. Steele Chapel & Longview Memorial Park and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in memory of Stephanie Ferguson be made to the cat rescue organization, House of Dreams, P.O. 30971, Portland, OR 97294.
