Thomas Joshua Canterbury, 77 of Red Sulphur Springs, W. Va. died at his home of old age and complications. He was born on April 15, 1864 at Forest Hill in Summers County, W. Va. and spent his entire life there. He married Louise Etta Helsep on September 26, 1888.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. S. C. Ballengee and Mrs. W. T. Lowe of Beckley, W. Va., and Mrs. M. A. Boone of Akron, Ohio; four sons, W. C., O. C. and Bierne Canterbury of Beckley, and Frank Canterbury of Red Sulphur Springs; one sister, Mrs, Mary Fleshman of Lindside, W. Va.; and a brother, James Canterbury of Princeton, W. Va. Burial was in the Red Springs church cemetery.
