Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Denny Dillard, 78, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Dillard, a native of Putnam County, spending the greater part of her life in Cookeville, died Monday
at Ft. Sanders hospital in Knoxville. She had been ill for many weeks. In recent years she had called Lenoir City home residing with her daughter, Mrs. Arnold Judd the former May Katherine Dillard. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Cookeville.
Mrs. Dillard was the daughter of the late Silas and Molly Essex Denny, who resided on Oak Ave. for a long period of time.
Mrs. Dillard was the sister of the late Walter and Ed Denny. Besides her daughter she is survived by three
granddaughters and a great grandchild, all of Lenoir City. Patsy Judd is a Tennessee Tech student.
The body arrived at Whitson Funeral Home this afternoon where the family will receive friends this evening.
