James "Alva" Gee, 67, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, 16 years, passed away early Tuesday, September 2, 1947. He was born on May 20, 1880, in Douglas County, Illinois, the son of Martha Evelyn (Short) and John Gee.

He was married to Myrta Elizabeth Stites in 1902, although they were divorced in the 1920s. They were the parents of three daughters: Eugenia, Wanetta Iona, and Caroline Beatrice "Carrie".

He was a member of the Christian Church.

James is survived by three daughters: Eugenia MacPherson, Santa Anna, CA; Carrie Rockenbaugh, Lancaster, CA; and Wanetta Boyer of Albuquerque; and three sisters and one brother, all in Illinois.
