Gene was a Musician, Artist and Actor. He is best known as THE SENATOR, a stage name, for his musical talent playing the harmonicas. He is best known for playing solo: "Orange Blossom Special", "Amazing Grace", Danny Boy"....the list goes on and on. He entertained at The Louisiana Hayride. He was in bands: The Dean Cook Band, The Jeff Stowe Band, Senator Winglow and The Bacon Blitz Band...played at the Willie Nelson Picnics and played in The Foundation Band in New Orlands. As an actor, he had lead character roles in Baytown's Theater-in-the-Round in NOT WITH MY DAUGHTER, was in Clear Creek Country Theater: UNDER THE YUM-YUM TREE. Gene was a DJ in Center, Texas and KJOJ in Houston. Gene was a born entertainer. As a child, he invited the neighborhood kids over and Gene did 'skits' putting everyone in stitches.....begging for more. "Oh Gene, do the one about....."
