Richard Lee Mays was born to Chauncy and Myrtle (Hibbler) Mays on March 8, 1931 in Ashland, Nebraska.
He attending his school years in Nebraska and Missouri where he met the love of his life, Dorotha Woolsey from Arrol, Missouri. They married December 31, 1949.
Richard worked in the timber industry in the midwest for many years, raising his family before moving to Washington state in 1968 where he was a planner operator for Champion International for 18 years.
He retired in 1989, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all traveling with his wife to Desert Hot Springs in California.
Richard passed away on July 3, 2010 at the age of 79.
