Mrs. J. W. Atkins Of Dutton, Dies

Dutton - Mrs. Blanche Bradford Atkins, 70, of "Freewelcome Farm" died Thursday in a Richmond hospital after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Dr. H. Clinton and Amanda Games Bradford of Norfolk.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Atkins of Dutton; two daughters, Miss Ann Byrd Atkins of Arlington; Mrs. John W. Leming Jr. of Bethlehem, Pa.; four sons, Capt. Joseph W. Atkins Jr., U.S. Air Force, Waco, Texas; Alexander B. Atkins of Dutton; Henry Colmore Atkins of Ridley Park, Pa. and William E. Atkins of Annandale, Va. and eight grandchildren and four nieces.

The body will remain at the residence here until 1:45 p.m. Saturday when the funeral cortège will leave the Newington Baptist Church at Gloucester where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Russell, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Kelvin Foster, E. E. Trent, F. A. Clements, W. B. Broaddus, F. B. Corr and James Tunstall.
