Iona M. Walker 74, 1215 M st. Bedford, died at 2 am Wednesday at Methodist Hospital Indianapolis. She had been in failing health for 7 years. She was born Oct. 31, 1907 in Springville to Kern and Lizzie Giles Armstrong. She married Ovan Walker August 29, 1929 and he died December 19, 1946. She was a retired teacher at Needmore, Shawswick, and Oolitic. Surviving are one son Tom Walker, Bloomington; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother, John F. Armstrong, and a sister Bessie Baughman are deceased.
