Obituary for Ernest E. Nyquist -From The Osceola Record, December 20, 1967

Ernest E. Nyquist, son of Peter and Fredricka Nyquist was born at Smaland, Sweden January 26, 1885 and died at the Annie Jeffrey Memorial Hospital December 12,1967 at the age of 82. When 20, he came to America and after attending Luther College at Wahoo, spent many years in the shoe business in Osceola in the employ of C.A. Olson.

He was married to Emma Anderson on Apri1 24, 1918 and they have made their home in Osceola since that time. Survivors are his wife, Emma, a niece and nephew in Sweden and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and took part in its activities for many years. Services were at St. Paul's in Osceola Thursday afternoon, December 14, with interment in the Osceola Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Anderson, Ivar Oberg, Clayton Johnson, Norris Johnson,Clarence Anderson and Martin Anderson.

Attending from away were the M.E. Andersons and Donald Andersons of Omaha, Mrs. Dale Anderson of Lincoln, Mr. Clayton Johnson and Mr. Norris Johnson of Ceresco, the Roy Andersons and Gerald Staubers of York and the Larry Johnston family of Columbus.
