Son of Timothy and Mary F. Beasley Bowden
Elvie D. Bowden, aged 77, died Thursday night at 8 o'clock at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. O.H. Bonney, at Knotts Island, N.C.
Besides Mrs. Bonney, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. W.F. White, of Knotts Island, one son, W.L. Bowden of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Knotts Island Methodist Church by the Rev. H.A. Harrell, the pastor, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
