A native of Knotts Island and a former resident of Norfolk, he lived in Miami 22 years.
He was a retired employee of Miami Traffic Engineer Department.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Mrs. Edward Roche of Norfolk; a brother, John L, Bowden of Miami; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Derry-Twiford Funeral Home, Norfolk, to Knotts Island Methodist Church for a funeral service Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Fred Bonney. Burial will be in Knotts Island Cemetery. The body will be in the church at 1 p.m.
