Mrs. Clarence J. Vogel, 42, died this morning in the family home located on the airbase road. She had been in failing health for a year and critically ill for three weeks. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic church. The Rev. Anthony Egging, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant of the mass. Burial will be in Grand Island cemetery.

Margaret Maud Cottingham was born Jan. 18, 1906, at Wray, Colo., to Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Cottingham. The family moved to Grand Island in 1909 and Mrs. Vogel attended school and graduated from Senior High school here. She and Mr. Vogel were married Nov. 24, 1925, and have resided in Grand Island since that time. Mrs. Vogel was a member of the Blessed Sacrament church and of the Altar society of the church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Miss Mary Vogel; her parents, who reside in Grand Island; two brothers, Sam Cottingham, Phoenix, Ariz., and Roy Cottingham, McCook; and two sisters, Mrs. George Meyer, Grand Island, and Mrs. Levi Smaha, Ravenna. She was preceded in death by a brother, S. Sgt. Harry Cottingham, who was killed in action during World War II.

The rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home. Friends may call Wednesday evening between 7 and 9 o'clock at the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home.
