Mrs. Anne Christenson died quite suddenly, Thursday, August 28, at West Chehalem at the home of her daughter Mrs. J,T. Carter, and was buried in the West Chehalem cemetery Friday afternoon, Rev. McCutcheon of Carlton having charge of the funeral services. The deceased leaves seven children - one son in Wisconsin, two in South Dakota and four children in Oregon, H.L Christenson of this place, C.G. and G.G. Christenson of Hopewell, and the aforementioned daughter, Mrs. Carter of West Chehalem. She was born in Denmark, November 23, 1821, and emigrated to America with her husband in 1853, settling in Wisconsin. The family moved to Iowa in 1867 and from thence to this state in 1874 where their home has since been.
