Clarence Allen Boe, 86, of Pelican Rapids, died on Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.

He was born Dec. 17, 1914, in Pelican Rapids, the son of Knut and Emma (Broberg) Boe. He worked for the Gamble-Robinson store in Mankato for a year. Then he returned to Pelican Rapids in 1939, and began working in the family dairy business, which had been purchased from the Zumack dairy a few years earlier. When the family farm was sold in 1947, he went from pasteurizing and bottling milk to become a distributor of North Star Dairy products and later to Cass Clay products. Mr. Boe was a distributor in the Pelican Rapids and surrounding area. When he retired in 1980, he was one of the last house-to-house delivery services in Minnesota. In 1998, he entered the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids. Mr. Boe was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He also served as the Pelican Rapids mayor for 1964 to 1965, and was the Pelican Rapids weather watcher for WDAY from 1992 to 1996. He enjoyed fishing and working in ceramics (a business his wife started).

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Edward, Victor, Orren, and Walt; two sisters, Esther and Sadie; three half-brothers, Melvin, Raymond, and Carlton; and half-sister, Emma.

He is survived by his wife: Dorothy; son: Allen (Lisa) Boe of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Eric Boe, Mona (Wayne) Eastman, Nicol (Gordon) Johnson, and Nannette Boe; five great-grandchildren, Michelle and Dawn Boe, Myka and Wayne Eastman, and Jordan Boe; and special nephew and nieces, David Davis, Deborah Campbell, and Ginger Ostlund.

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids
