Stella W. Beach, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1992, at Highland Park Care Center.

She was born March 31, 1906, at Blue Springs, Neb., to Oswin and Pearl (Zehrung) Moore. She moved with her family to Alliance when she was a child, and graduated from Alliance High School in 1925.

She joined Aloyah Chapter # 185, Order of Eastern Star, in 1925.

She married first, Bill O'Brien on Feb. 12, 1928.

She worked in the law offices of Harry Gantz, William Hein and Walter Metz and was the secretary to the commanding officer of the Alliance Air Base.

She left Alliance in 1947, and on Nov. 15 of that year she married second, Maurice Beach in the Greenville S. C., Air Base Chapel.

Her husband, Brig. Gen. Beach, her parents and a sister, LaVaughn Beagle, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Fred Coleman, Alliance; four nephews, Jerry Beagle, Jim Beagle and Bill Coleman, all of Alliance; and two nieces, Cheri Hopkins of Alliance and Joy Beagle of Hastings.
