Berne lady is dead after long illness
Mrs. Noah (Mollie) Neuenschwander, 77, of 766 West Franklin street, Berne, died at 4:20 a.m. today at the Adams county memorial hospital, following an illness of six months. She was born in Monroe township June 27, 1892, a daughter of Burkhardt and Lydia Sprunger-Lehman, and was married to Noah Neuenschwander Sept. 15, 1914. Her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Neuenschwander was a member of the First Mennonite church. Surviving are three sons, Orville, of Monroe, Loris of Fort Wayne, and Vernon of Berne route 1; eight brothers, Lee Lehman of Fort Wayne, Herman, Elmer, Albert, Reuben, Leslie and Harry Lehman, all of Berne, and Harley Lehman of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Cora) Nussbaum and Mrs. Sidney (Viola) Stettler, both of Berne; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Mennonite church, with Rev. Gordon J. Neuenschwander officiating. Burial will be in MRE cemetery. Friends may call at the Yager funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

RITES FOR BERNE LADY SATURDAY
Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Berne for Mrs. Mollie Neuenschwander who died Thursday morning. Rev. Gordon Neuenschwander will officiate with burial in MRE Cemetery. Friends may call at the Yager funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
Omitted from the list of survivors in Thursday's Daily Democrat were two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Marie) Lehman and Mrs. Charles (Waneta) Baumgartner.
