Joshua was a Christmas baby. When he was brought home from the hospital he was placed in a big red stocking. He was born with dark hair and was a serene, calm baby. He didn't cry very much. He was beautiful. In the next 3 months he grew quite a bit. His hair turned a white blond and his eyes were turning brown. He had an older sister, Jessica, who was actually born the same year. He seemed to have a little problem with breathing and he did better when he was sitting in his little seat. The morning he passed away started as all the others. His mom fed him at 7:30 AM and he fell back to sleep. When she looked in on him about an hour later, he wasn't breathing. When paramedics arrived they couldn't do anything for him. The cause of his death was acute interstitial pneumonitis or Hammond-Rich Syndrome, a bacterial infection which is rare and fast acting. He was a beautiful, sweet natured little guy and we are saddened that he was taken so soon.
