After her 1st husband died (Reeves), and, after her sister, Susan, died, she married her sister's husband, George W. Hurley.

"AGED LADY IS CALLED BY DEATH
Grandma Hurley Passed Away Following an Extended Illness.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church, Monday at 10:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Armstrong, over the remains of Mrs. Mary Hurly [ Hurley] who passed away at her home in this city, April 4, following an illness of eighteen months. In June of last year she suffered a slight paralytic stroke and in the fall of the same year she was again stricken and as time went on she became weaker and for three days before she passed away she was unable to swallow on account of the thyroid becoming paralyzed. Deceased was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist church and was most faithful in her work and always ready to be of help to others when in need and was a loving wife and mother. For many years she had been a widow. The six gransons of Grandma Hurly, as she was known to members of heer family, bore her flower laden casket to its last resing place in the cemetery west of town, they were, Boyd Munson, Ray Munson, Walter, Don, Levi, and Robert Reeves.
Mary A. Furrow was born in Clark County, Ohio, February 19, 1837, and died at her home in Humboldt, Nebraska, April 14, 1928, having reached the age of 91 years, 1 month, 26 days and leaving behind her a life of well spent years, a memory of kindness and friendship and service to her community that will be kindly remembered for many years. She came to Nebraska with her parents in a covered wagon in 1855. She was one of a family of 12 children. She married to Levi Boyd Reeves in 1859 Afterward, they moved to Missouri, living there a short time they returned to Nebraska settling on a homestead northeast of Humboldt. To Mr. and Mrs. Reeves were born 6 children, James and William Reeves twins, Cynthia Rebecca Monasmith, Jesse L. Reeves, Margaret Matilda deceased, Sarah Elizabeth Munson. Mr. Reeves departed this life February 11, 1870. She was married to Mr. Hurly [Hurley] in 1882, who died in 1887 again leaving her a widow. Besides her sons and daughters Mrs. Hurley is survived by 44 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild, who with other relatives and friends will remember her life and mourn her departure after a well rounded life and kindly presence. She is also surrived [survived] by one sister, Mrs. Ceila [Cecelia] Hurly [Mrs. William Hurley], Nortonville, Kansas."
