Funeral services for L.M. Whitman, 76, of Florence, who died Friday night at the Colbert County hospital, Sheffield, will be held this afternoon. The remains will leave at 10 o'clock this morning from the home of Dr. C. R. Whitman, 800 East Sixth street, Tuscumbia and be conveyed to Mount Hope church, where the services will be conducted by Dr. W. H. Barton, of Tuscumbia.
Interment will be in Mount Hope cemetery, with Farr and Gilbert in charge.
Surviving Mr. Whitman are three sons, Dr. Whitman, of Tuscumbia, E.D. Whitman, of Decatur, and L.N. Whitman of Cullman, and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Authery of Florence, and Mrs. John Jackson of Russellville.
For some time before his death Mr. Whitman had lived with Mrs. Authery, of Florence.
