Mae McDaniel, 79 of Santa Maria, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Marian Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Mae was born February 22, 1927 in Comanche, OK to Frank and Florence Glover. She married Jack W. McDaniel on February 10, 1945 in Amarillo, TX. They moved to Bell Gardens, CA where they lived for 30 years raising 3 children. They later retired and moved to Santa Maria in 1981.
Mae enjoyed decorating, putting photo albums of her family vacations together, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Grace Baptist Church and was also a member and Queen for more than 5 years with TOPS.
Mae is survived by her husband of 61 years Jack W. McDaniel of Santa Maria, daughter Carolyn R. Sutton and her husband Jim of Rancho Bernardo, CA, son Jerry McDaniel of Tulsa, OK, daughter Sheryl N. Thomer of Santa Maria, brother Grady Glover of Hobbs, NM, brother Gene Glover of Cleburne, TX, sister Peggy Brady of Hobbs, NM, grandchildren Brian Sutton of La Jolla, CA, Joni Sutton of Rancho Bernardo, CA, Benjamin Thomer of Long Beach, CA, and Jennifer Anderson and April Palmer, both of Broken Arrow, OK, and great-grandchildren Kyle, Caleb, Corey, Cody, and Chase.
