Florence Tabitha Simmons married John Edgar "Lee" Little on January 25, 1893. They lived their married life in the Carpenter area of Copiah County, Mississippi. They had no children. Florence was widowed at age 68. Lee died April 1, 1939 after a very brief illness. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and then Utica Baptist Church.

After Lee's death, Florence lived in one side of a duplex on Main Street in Utica, Mississippi. Her sister Nannie lives on the other side.
