DEATH OF MRS. HAWVERMALE
Mrs. M. Jennie Hawvermale, widow of the late Silas J. Hawvermale, died Wednesday morning at 1:30. Death was caused by influenza. Mrs. Hawvermale, who was 75 years, 8 months and 5 days of age, had been in failing health for sometime. Her late husband preceded her in death nearly eight years ago.
Surviving the deceased is one brother M.A. Michael of this county, and several nephews and nieces.
The body was taken to the Methodist church at 1 p.m. Thursday where it remained on view to the public until the funeral services at 2 o'clock which were conducted by the pastor Rev. F. Paul Harris. Mrs. Hawvermale had been a devoted and faithful member of the Methodist church practically all of her life.
Interment was in Greenway cemetery.

Mrs. M. Jennie Michael Hawvermale, one of the oldest residents of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday evening, April 14, of influenza, aged 75 years, 8 months, and 25 days. The deceased had been afflicted with rheumatism for about seven years, but immediate illness occurred only in the past six months.
Mrs. Hawvermale was born and reared near Berkeley Springs, and was a daughter of Jacob C. and Mary C. Michael. She and the late Silas J. Hawvermale were united in marriage , January 12, 1882.
Mrs. Hawvermale had been a devoted and faithful member of the Methodist church practically all of her life. Her interest in the church never waned even after her affliction prevented her attending church. She bore her affliction with christian fortitude which was noted by her many friends.
The deceased is survived by one brother, M.A. Michael of Berkeley Springs, and nieces: Mrs. Jessie M. Shriver, Berkeley Springs; Mrs. Mary E. Warrenfeltz, Hagerstown, Md.; nephews: Charles E. Michael, Congress Heights, D.C.; Silas W. Michael, Felton, PA.; Nelson C. Michael, Clarendon, VA.; and Emma Dale Widmyer, whom she reared from childhood, who was her faithful companion during life.
