DEATH OF A. BARNETT
The death took place on Jan. 27th of Anson Barnett at his home 8 miles east of Strathmore. Deceased was 89 years of age and had been in failing health for some time. The Barnett family came to this country 29 years ago. His wife pre-deceased him Jan. 29th, 1934, and a daughter Mrs. A.W. Miller of Rockyford, Sept. 26th, 1930. He leaves to mourn his loss a son Jim and grandchildren, besides a host of friends. Mr Barnett was of a kindly nature and greatly respected by all who knew him.
The Pall Bearers were S.F. Garriott, Mr. Weyers, Norman Scheer, Leslie Wes, Jim Cormack, Mr. Miner.
The funeral was held on Saturday, January 29th at 2:30 p.m. at the United Church with Rev. Gilbert officiating.
Interment took place in Strathmore cemetery, with Chase and Co. in charge of arrangements.
