Christian Hoff was my 3rd great grandfather. He came to the US around 1866, probably from Hamburg or Mecklenburg State, Germany, with his daughter, Frieda. She met her husband, my 2nd great grandfather, Charles Prahl, on the boat. I know Christian Hoff's grave is in Peaceful Valley Cemetery because a distant cousin visited it about 30 years ago. I don't know what shape it's in, though, or where it is.
