Earl King, 45, of Guston, died Sep. 29, 1966 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Louisville. Funeral services were conducted Oct. 3, at the Baptist Church of Guston by the Rev. Dan Whitaker assisted by the Rev. Garry Oliver. Rev. Oliver sang "How Great Thou Art." Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Masonic rites were said at the graveside by A. H. Payne, Jr. Pallbearers were M. S. Robinson, Asa Basham, James Lewis, Rev. J. A. Lawhorn, Howard Bennett and Ray Ashley. Surviving, in addition to his wife, the former Elnora Glasscock, are two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Skalicky of Powers Lake, North Dakota, and Miss Anna King of Guston; his mother, Mrs. Fannie King of Guston; six brothers, Howard, Joe and Seth King of Guston, William King of Louisville, and James King of Irvington; and one sister, Mrs. David Meador of Hardinsburg. A native of Breckinridge County, he was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Mr. King was a member of Breckinridge Masonic Lodge No. 67 and a Veteran of World War II. Dowell Funeral Home was in charge.
