Rites For Mr. CABLER On Tuesday

Mr. William Quincy CABLER, a resident of Brownsville sine 1922, died at 8:43 a.m. today in Mercy Hospital.

Mr. CABLER was born June 25, 1860, at Turnersville, Coryell County, Tex., and married the former Miss Frances Elizabeth WOMACK in Meridian, Tex.

He brought his family to Brownsville October of 1922, where he was engaged in farming. He also served as Chief Deputy Sheriff under Sheriffs Art GOOLSBY and Tom MORRISON.

Besides his wife, Mr. CABLER is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred RUSTEBERG Jr., and Mrs. Carroll CROWE, both of Brownsville, and Mrs. Ben C. PIESTER of Berwick, La.,; a son, Charles William CABLER, is deceased; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three nephews and one niece.

Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. H. Glenn SMITH officiating.

Burial will be in the family plot in Buena Vista Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that friends donate to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Darling Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
