HATTERAS - Selina Austin Goodwin, 77, died Thursday, May 21, at an Elizabeth City Hospital. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Hatteras and was a retired postmaster from the Frisco Post Office.

She was a member of the Hatteras United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Arkansas Chapter and the National Assc. of Postmasters of the U.S.

Mrs. Goodwin was the daughter of the late Olen Austin and Emeline Robinson Austin. She was the wife of the late James W. Leonard and Perry J. Goodwin, Sr. of Cedar Island.

She is survived by 4 daughters: Linda L. Houston of Quitman, Ark., Laura L. Taylor of Beaufort, Leigh L. Smith of Holly Spring, and Lucy L. Craig of Ravenel, S.C.; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25, at 11 a.m. at the Hatteras United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Huskins and H.J. Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery with Order of the Eastern Star Rites. Twiford's Funeral Home in Hatteras is in charge of these arrangements.
