Mrs. Ruth A. Virgin, mother of Hanford Virgin of Mulberry, died at 11:30 Tuesday night at the Newsum Nursing Home, Frankfort, where she had been a patient for four and a half years. She had been in failing health for six years. She was 65 years of age.

Born at Michigantown, Mrs. Virgin was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sheets. In 1914 she was married to Hanford Virgin Sr., who died in 1957. She was a member of the Mulberry Methodist church.

Surviving in addition to the son are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Troxel of Lafayette; three brothers, Joseph Sheets of Lafayette, Emerson Sheets of Lafayette route 4; four sisters, Mrs. Vallie Reppert of South Bend, Mrs. Anna Peters of Albuquerque, N. Mex., and Mrs. Laura Metzger and Mrs. Ethel Blanchard, both of Frankfort; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Johnson Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Friday, with the Rev. J. Steven Burris officiating. Burial will be in the Rossville cemetery.
