Cornelia Miller [Dantzler] Woodward married Major Thomas William Woodward on February 15, 1854. She was the sister of Col Olin W. Dantzler. She had no children, but acted well the mother's part to four of her brother's sons, orphaned by the war, also to Fannie K., daughter of the late Colonel William Alston. She was warm hearted, unselfish, candid and kind. In her the poor always found a friend. She died August 21, 1878. Major Woodward the married Rebecca V. Lyles, a daughter of Captain Thomas M. Lyles.
