Celia Ann Shumate Bradshaw, 85, formerly of Richmond, Va., died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at Elizabeth House Hospice.
She was the daughter of the late Virginia Senator Anderson Everett Shumate Sr. and Lillian Hale Shumate and was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Waverly Daniel Bradshaw Sr.
Mrs. Bradshaw was a graduate of Virginia Intermont and Randolph Macon Women's College, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Fletcher United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Bradshaw McLean of Safety Harbor, Fla., and Vicki Bradshaw Innes and her husband, Jay of Arden; son, Dan Bradshaw Jr. and wife, Gwen of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Dayna Rohrer and husband, Chris and Dean Bradshaw and wife, Meredith, all of Kernersville, Rick and Kristy McLean of Safety Harbor, and Julie and John Innes of Arden.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
