Obituary-Berrigan, Mary (Mrs. M. J. Sullivan) Mrs. Mary A. Sullivan 93, passed away at 1 A.M. Thursday at her home in Salina. Mrs. Sullivan was born August 5, 1859, in Arlington, Illinois. At the age of four, she came to Saline County with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Berrigan, settling on an east Saline County homestead three years before Salina was first incorporated. v She was united in marriage with Michael John Sullivan, another homestead family, who died years ago.

In her recollection of the early days Mrs. Sullivan often recounted tales of the early day Indians and of the time "Wild Bill Hickok" held her on his knee at one of the early day dances. For the past 29 years she has lived in Salina. She was and honorary member of the Sacred Heart Guild. Surviving are her eleven children, John E. Sullivan, Mrs. Minnie Harrington, Mrs. Kate Cline, Mrs. Dan Mason, Mrs. Nell Emmerich, Mrs. Harry Farrell, Mrs. L.B. Mathews and Leo Sullivan all of Salina; Tom of Solomon, Tim of Los Angeles, Calif, and Mrs. Henry Veltman, Abilene.

They were at her bedside at the time of her death. The funeral was held Saturday at 9 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception church in Solomon with Msgr. J.B. Glynn officiating. A rosary service was held at the Salina Funeral Home at 8 P.M. Friday. Burial was in Calvary cemetery at Solomon.
