Edina, Mo., Sept. 5, — Mrs. Mary Ellen Norris, 90, of Novelty, died Monday morning at 9 in Drummand, Okla., where she had moved only two weeks ago to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Verna Taylor. Her death followed stroke suffered three days ego.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Novelty Christian church with the Rev. Carroll Kakac officiating. Burial will be in the Novelty cemetery.
Mrs. Norris was born April 1, 1871, in Knox county, a daughter of Josiah and Sarah Johnson Perry. She was a member of the Novelty Christian church. Her marriage to Clement Norris took place in 1894. He died in 1938.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Anna) Michael of Cherokee, Okla., and Mrs. Taylor; a son, J. Perry Norris of Stillwater, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Alma McEwen of near Leonard and Mrs. Hattie Humphrey of Kirksville; five brothers, O. P., Carl, Edwin and Robert Perry of Novelty and G. P. Perry of Peoria; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchilden.
A son, Virgil, died in 1958. Also preceding her in death were three sisters and a granddaughter.
