ADA, Feb. 8 - Services for Oscar F. Abt, 81, retired Ada livestock and wool dealer, who died Thursday morning at the home of a son, Paul, in Pittsburgh, Pa., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lantz and Cretors funeral home. Rev. Raymond Touvell will officiate, and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery here.
A native of Germany, Abt came to this country with his parents, settling near Dola. Later he served as postmaster of Dola for several years. Moving to Ada in 1908, he was married to Barbara Lauten Schlarger. She died in March, 1934.
Surviving are two sons, Paul, and Bernard, Wilmington, and a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Yambert, Knoxville, Tenn. Abt, who lived here, had been visiting his son for two weeks.
The Elks lodge will hold services at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
