Justus was born July 4, 1983, in Dixon, the son of Steven Bartelt and Jeannie (Bartelt) Kyker. Survivors include his father, Steven; mother, Jeannie (Kendall) Kyker; sisters, Shayann and Simber Bartelt and Kellen Kyker; grandparents, Joann and Farrel Wright, Bob and Delores Massey, Richard and Mary Ellen Rowland and John (Adrienne Hiatt) Bartelt; and great-grandmother, Ruby Rowland. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Bartelt; and a sister, Vanaca Jo.
