George Anderson Martin was the son of John D. Martin and Sarah Keak. He was married to Sarah Almedia McHargue on September 26, 1894. They had seven children - Charles Edwin Martin (1899-1946), Herman Martin, Zora Martin Mills, Hazel Martin Peace, Maggie Martin Sutton Mills, Malcom Martin, and Harrison Martin. George Martin was an engineer for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad for many years before his death in 1929.
