Ivan Owen Johnson, son of George S. and Marilla Johnson, was born March 14, 1885 and departed this life August 25, 1948 at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 11 days, after one year's illness.

Moving to Lincoln County at the age of 15, he spent the remainder of his life in Lincoln County, with the exception of two years spent in Wyoming.

He was engaged in farming and ranching his entire life.

Ivan Owen Johnson was united in marriage to Hattie P. Dikeman December 25, 1907. To this union were born six children, one daughter and five sons. (Baby Boy Johnson - died in infancy, Myrtle Evelyn 1910-1971, Willis Windom 1913-1991, Clarence Loyal 1915-1989, Victor E 1918-1930, Harold Owen 1922-2002)

Preceding him in death were his father, mother, two sons, Victor at the age of 12 and the other infancy; one sister, Elma LaRue, and one brother, Willis.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Hattie, one daughter, Mrs Myrtle Daly of Tryon, and sons: Willis W of North Platte, Clarence L of Gandy, Harold O of Stapleton. Two sisters, Edna Mullenix and Alta Dixon, both of Hood River, Oregon. One uncle, Victor Sewards of Ashland, Nebraska, six grandchildren, twenty-four nieces and nephews, and a hose of friends and relatives.
