Moving to Lincoln County at the age of 15, he spent the remainder of his life in Lincoln County, with the exception of two years spent in Wyoming.
He was engaged in farming and ranching his entire life.
Ivan Owen Johnson was united in marriage to Hattie P. Dikeman December 25, 1907. To this union were born six children, one daughter and five sons. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Hattie, one daughter, Mrs Myrtle Daly of Tryon, and sons: Willis W of North Platte, Clarence L of Gandy, Harold O of Stapleton. Two sisters, Edna Mullenix and Alta Dixon, both of Hood River, Oregon. One uncle, Victor Sewards of Ashland, Nebraska, six grandchildren, twenty-four nieces and nephews, and a hose of friends and relatives.
