Death Comes To Henry Paap, 54

Pioneer of Otoe Dies After Suffering Heart Attack

Henry Paap, 54, well known resident of Otoe, stricken with a heart attack while sitting on the porch of his home Sunday evening, passed away before medical attention could be given him. Mr. Paap had been in his usual good health during the day and had gone to her porch to smoke following the evening meal.

Henry Paap was born in Otoe, November 1, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Paap, pioneers of northern Otoe County. He had spent his entire life in that community, where he was very popular. He was educated in the schools of the county and village and was married Miss. Mary Aufderheide in Nebraska City, October 1, 1896.

Two children were born to this union, Mrs. Alfred Ropers and Frank Paap, both residing near Otoe. He was for many years engaged in farming near the village but retired a few years ago and moved to the village where he had since made his home. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his widow and two children, Mrs. Ropers and Frank. A sister, Mrs. Henry Brandt, lives at Otoe.

He was well known in this city where he often came on business.

The body was removed to the Tonsing Mortuary at Syracuse pending funeral arrangements, which will be announced later.
