Rosa Melivinie Cacy Himmel called by some "Vinnie" was born in Scott County Arkansas to Zeddock Zebb Cacy and Emiline Butler Cacy. She met and married Adam Jefferson Himmel in Bower Oklahoma on Oct 4 1896. The marriage was performed by John W Freeman in the presence of her father and family. She and "Jeff" had 8 children. Jeff passed away suddenly at the age of 47 leaving her with 7 children and 1 on the way. She stayed in Ellis County living on a farm owned by Jeffs brother Robert for some time. She moved to West Texas in 1927. Some years were lean but she was able to provide for her family. After moving to Crosby County in West Texas, she lived near Lorenzo for a time then later bought a farm south of Crosbyton Texas. She later moved her house into town.
