"The [Albany] Evening Journal announces the death of Orville L. Holley, of that city, in the 90th year of his age. The deceased was a brother of the late Myron Holley, and has at different periods of his career been connected with various newspapers. He was at one time editor of the Ontario Repository, and at a later period, of the Albany Daily Advertiser. Under the first Administration of Gov. Seward he was Surveyor General of the State. For several years past he has been occupied in duties connected with the State Department at Albany, but his labors have been interrupted by severe illness.
