Dean Roy Kirk, beloved husband,father and grandfather, age 80 returned with honor to his Heavenly Father, Nov.14,2002.

Born Feb.12, 1922 to Roy Edward and Lucille Cassity Kirk, Tooele, UT. Married to his sweetheart of 61 years to Marguerite Ruth Billington on Jan. 16, 1941, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple.

Served in the US Navy during World War II. Employed with US(Geneva Steel) for 32 years. Dean was a scouter who loved working with boy scouts, was a recipient of the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award.

Dean enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family. He loved working in his garden and was a woodworking craftsman making many beautiful things with his talented hands.

He was active in the LDS Church serving in many positions. He especially enjoyed teaching and served as an ordinance worked in the Jordan River Temple.

survived by his wife, four children, Wanda Sanderson, Elaine Sanderson, Carol Witbeck, Evan Kirk, 23 Grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, brother Lyle, sister Helen McGary. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wayne, and Lynn Kirk.

Burial on Nov. 19, 2002 at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City
