Ruby Elizabeth Beiser, 66, of 2203 Tucker Terrace, died at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 1982, at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She had been ill for the past year and a half and a patient at the Medical Center since April 20.
She was born May 30, 1915, in Arma to James Hamilton and Ruby Mae Braidwood Fulton. She was a graduate of Kansas State Teachers College, now Pittsburg State University, with a BS Degree in Education. She taught at Lakeside School for a short time.
In June, 1940, she married John F. Beiser at West Point Academy. During their marriage they traveled extensively, living one year in Japan and three years in France. He retired from the United States Army with the rank of colonel. He died Feb. 15, 1976.
Mrs. Beiser was active in the League of Women Voters, having served as co-president for one year, and was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, the A.A.R.P. and the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne B. Allen of Iowa City, Iowa, and Susan Fitz of Topeka, and five grandchildren. A brother, Andrew "Bud" Fulton died before her.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brenner Chapel.
