Golda M. Clement Rites Conducted
Services Held Monday

A long-time resident of the Table Rock area, Mrs. (Chas.) Clement, passed away Friday afternoon- the day preceding her 78th birthday-at the Pawnee County Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past two months.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Church of Christ in Table Rock, of which she and her husband had been faithful members for many years. Services were conducted by Larry Fiscus, minister of the church. Interment was made in the Table Rock Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Clifford Snoke, Wayne Hendrix, John Bowen, Wayne Covault, John Burgett and Duane Workman. Soloist was Frank Petrashek, who was accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Robert Freeman.

OBITUARY-

Golda Maud (Hays) Clement was born near Table Rock, Nebraska to Robert and Martha (Pierce) Hays on December 11, 1893. She departed this life on December 10, 1971, while a patient at the Pawnee County Hospital in Pawnee City. She had been in failing health since October of this year.

Most of Golda's life was spent near Table Rock. On December 29, 1920, she was united in marriage to Charles C. Clement of Table Rock at the Christian parsonage there.

To this union were born two sons, Marvin Jay, who died in infancy, and Gordon Jay of Table Rock. In all, this couple completed 51 years of married life.

She and her husband have been Christians for many years, being a part of the Church of Christ in Table Rock. In addition to making a friendly Christian home, her service included work with the Ladies Aid of the church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Jay D. Hays and Merren E. Hays; and one son, Marvin Jay.

In her passing, she is survived by her husband, Charles; one son, Gordon, and his wife, Marilyn, as well as four grandchildren; Gregory, Grant, Mikel, and Marla Clement, all of Table Rock. She is also survived by one brother, Ralph C. Hays of Humboldt, Nebraska; two sisters: Mrs. Ida M. Snoke, Humboldt, and Mrs. Adolph (Beulah) Anthotz of McDonald, Kansas; as well as many other relatives and friends.
