William Bowen, aged 84 , died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Andy Graves, west of town, Friday night. Burial at Walkers Chapel Sunday, in charge of the Masons, of which he was a lifelong member, Reverend Winn, of M E Church, delivered the funeral sermon.

William & Rebecca Bowen owned a good farm three miles west of Harrodsburg, Indiana and lived there until their death. Rebecca's mother lived with them for years. William Bowen told a great many jokes and big yarns about hunting. He was known by everyone as Uncle Billy.
