Brian Clayton Othoudt
April 17, 1968 - May 2, 2010
Brian Clayton Othoudt, 42, of Jennings, Oklahoma passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday, May 2, 2010.

Brian was born on April 17, 1968 in Princeton, Minnesota. He was the son of Vicky Lee Othoudt. As a young child Brian moved with his mother to the Cleveland Area and attended school in Jennings and Cleveland. At the completion of his education in Cleveland, Brian accepted employment with Osage Oil. At the age of 17, Brian was involved in a motorcycle accident in August of 1985. Brian sustained crippling injuries leaving him a paraplegic. Following his recovery in Oklahoma City, Brian demanded to be returned home. He felt that he could get better treatment and more mobility at home.

Brian loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. He also enjoyed getting together with his family as well as a dedicated friend. Brian would often remodel his home; only to finish the project and then start all over again. He loved to play Santa Clause for the kids and loved going to birthday parties. Mr. Othoudt was very patriotic often donating to local charities. He would religiously send in his Publisher's Clearing House in hope of the chance of them knocking on his front door.

If you told Brian that he could not do something he would often prove you wrong and prove to you that he could. He also had a prayer table in his home that he was very particular about. If you touched it you had better make certain that you put what ever you moved back exactly where it was previously. Brian is described as a caring and giving and person as well as "hell on wheels" who has fought hard his entire life. Brian had recently admitted that "he was not long for this earth."

Survivors include his sister Sherry Glenn and her husband Bill of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two brothers Dennis Nordby of Jennings, Oklahoma, Dusty Nordby and his wife Sonya of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two uncles Terry Othoudt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Russell Othoudt of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews Brandi, Justin, Jessi, Ashlee, Joshua, Victoria, Ally, Denny, Kennadie, D.J.; great neices and nephews Riah, Lilian, Randi, Zander as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his mother Vicky Lee Othoudt, grandparents Clayton and Nila Othoudt and a uncle Tom Othoudt.

Chapel Services will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm till 6:00 pm also at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
