Marriage
Miss Myrtle Crane second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crane of Edmunds County. Old time resident of Potter County and Owne Pugh of Powell were untied in marriage by Rev. Carr of Cresbard, on Tuesday, August 12, 1913 at 5 O'clock p.m. at the home of the sister of the groom. Mrs. Owen Roberts, nine miles Northwest of Cresbard. The bride and groom are highly respected young people and have many friends in both Potter and Edmunds County.

Miss Cathrine Pugh youngest sister of the groom, was bridesmaaid and John Knie of Chelsea was bestman. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Carr, Miss Catherine Pugh, Mrs John Pugh and family, Mr and Mrs. Guff Jones and family, Richard Pugh, Miss Carrie Beist, Willis Crane, Lee Crane, Misses Sophronia and Mary Crane.

The following presents were presented; three center tables, one china closet, set of silver knives, forks, teaspoons and tablespoons, dresser scarf, tablecloth and nice purse of money. After congradulations were exstended a bounteous wedding supper was served.

The happy couple will make their home on a farm near Cresband (newspaper article in family scrapbook)

Uncle Charles did not want Myrtle to marry Owen. On the way back from the wedding, Sophronia, Mary, Willis, Lee stopped at Charles place, he was not going to let them in. But Effie told them that they were to come in and spend the evening. Charles let them in but would not talk to them. (Told by Sophronia Crane recorded in Crane Cookbook)
