Lantz, David W. was born in Sussex County,New Jersey Oct 10, 1816, and lived there till about age 30 years; on January 1, 1842, he was married to Malinda Heminover in his native state; 4 years later, in June 1846, he and his family moved west and settled in Fulton County, Illinois; They lived there about 12 years and then moved to this county and bought a farm in sectioon 22, Walnut Grove Township; he and his wife lived at this location until their deaths. They had 8 children--Delphine who married Edward Dewey and moved to Farmer City, Illinois; Margaret married Emanuel Hageman and moved to near Leavenworth, Kansas; Watson married Lina Buck and lived in Walnut Grove Township; Mary married William Lofton; Martha married Alvin Berber and move to Kansas; Selma and David Edward; another son Albert, who was born in 1847, died in infancy. Mr. Lantz owned a 160A farm, the northeast quarter of section 22.Age 70 years 9m 15d
