Ima Eola Allen, 93, of Cushing, was born September 5, 1914, in Shelbyville, Texas, the daughter of the late Ida Virginia (McKay) and Henry Byrd White. She passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007, in a Nacogdoches hospital.

Mrs. Allen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was an active member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, and loved fishing. Mrs. Allen was a very selfless person, and was always feeding the homeless who found their way to her home.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn Rice and Norman Irvin of Brazoria; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Billie Allen of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and J. O. Thornton of Cushing; son and daughter-in-law, Jim Bill and Josephine Allen of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a number of other family members.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Randell D. Allen; sons, Tommy Gene Allen and Ray Allen; grandson, Randy Allen; and great granddaughters, Rhonda Rice and Tammy Rosebury.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Allen's grandsons.
Services for Mrs. Allen will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
